Titan Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about that Titan Chain's low profile tire chains on the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. Now these are gonna be on our tires that are 235/65 R17 and they're gonna be on our front axles as per what our manual recommends. But if yours says something else, I'd go with that. Now, in my personal opinion, I think this is gonna be kind of a loose fit for these tires, but if you get a tire tensioner, I think that's gonna help reduce a lot of that looseness. Now if you look down here, it's still gonna be pretty loose. more

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video

Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe

Zach: Hey, guys. Zach here at etrailer.com. Today we're going to be taking a look at the Konig XG 12 Pro Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains on our 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, and I've got these on a 235/65R17 tire size.Between the self-tensioning device that we have here and the design pattern on the chains, it's going to do a good job of keeping those chains nice and tight and in place where they're supposed to be to get you going down the road safely in snow and ice. If we take a closer look here at the chains, the diamond pattern mixed in with this design right here is going to do a really good job of getting nice tire coverage, but also breaking up snow and ice as we go to give us good stopping power in ice, but also giving us good starting and turning mobility whenever we're driving in snow. The smaller links here are also going to give us a really nice smooth ride whenever we're going compared to beefier style chains. Now, you're still going to notice that they're there, but I think it's going to do a really good job of cutting down on some of that rough ride that you'd get with bigger chains. The chains are going to be made of a manganese nickel alloy, so they're going to be rust-resistant and they're going to be really sturdy to give you some good years of use. more

Konig Standard Snow Tire Chains Installation - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe

Zack: Hey guys, Zack here at etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe and I'm going to be showing you how to install the Konig standard XB 16 Snow Tire Chains. Now I have these on a tire size of 235/65-17. These are going to be a really nice easy to install snow tire chain. Something that I like right away is the ease of installation is great, but the self-tensioning device that they have in here is going to make sure that they have a really nice snug fit so they stay in place so they can get you going down the road safely. Now when it comes to the traction that these are going to provide, these are going to have a diamond pattern, which is going to be a lot better for giving you full traction compared to the roller style or ladder style chains. What these do, is these just give you really good coverage to allow you to have better starts in the snow. It's going to give you better turning capacity in the snow, but also whenever you're stopping on ice, it's going to dig down into that ice to help you come to a safer stop then the ladder roller style chains. If you look closer at these links that we have here, these are a pretty good size for this vehicle. They are small enough though that they're not going to provide the roughest ride in the world when it comes to chains. more

These are going to be a really nice option to give you a little bit more heavy duty option for your Santa Fe. They're not going to be real big beefy chains that you're maybe seeing on bigger vehicles, but compared to some of the other options, they're going to do a better job at getting you good traction in snow and ice compared to like the rollers or even like the smaller dealing style like we have here.Something that really separates this one compared to some others is the ease of installation and the self-tensioning device. So I don't have to crawl underneath the vehicle and make a connection behind the tire. more

The ladder pattern design is great for starting and stopping, as it's parallel with the road to dig in deep for a wide surface area. The twisted link shape is going to give you excellent traction but it's going to be quieter when compared to square link designs. The built in cam adjusters will take out slack and increase tension on your tire chains to hold them on.Now it is always recommend to use a rubber or other type of chain adjuster for that extra security to keep your chains tight and from flying off. Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains Review - 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe pw1046

Today on our 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe, we'll be installing the Glacier Cable Snow Chains, pat number PW1046. To being our install, we're first going lay our snow chain out. Now, as we've got it laid out, we'll make sure the smooth side is facing the tire and the outside, away from the tire, will be the hook side, so it doesn't dig into our sidewall. Let's go ahead and take it and lay it up over the top of our tire. As we set it in place, we're going to try to get our cable even, both inside and outside of the tire, on the sidewall. We'll roll the bottom half down around the bottom of the tire and now we can move underneath and secure the cable and eyelet. We're going to take the notched end of our cable, feed it through the eyelet end. more
